| Volunteering Behind every great football team is great parents. We appreciate your help in making the 2012 Central Catholic Vikings Football season a success! It takes a lot of time and resources to put together a quality program. In order to fill all required volunteer positions, we ask that you volunteer a minimum of 3 times during the season. We offer many different types of volunteer opportunities and would like to invite you to sign up early so that you can choose what you like best.Online Volunteer Sign Ups
Online Sign Ups are offered again this year for various volunteer
positions needed throughout our regular season. Links are available
under each volunteer category to sign up for freshman, junior varsity
and varsity games. All Game Day event volunteers should be at the game entrance 1 hour before the start of the game except for the volunteers serving post game snacks. Post Game Snack volunteers should report to the buses at the 5 minute mark of the 4th quarter to set up. For the varsity game scheduled at CMU on September 7th, report to the outside of the locker room at Central Catholic High School. Varsity Pre-Game Meal Volunteers will report to the school cafeteria 4 hours before the game starts. Volunteer Positions Football Camp Meals Varsity Football Meal Coordinator is Janet DeRenzo (412-335-2332) Lunch Volunteers: Report to the cafeteria by 11:00 a.m. Dinner Volunteers: Report to the cafeteria by 4:30 p.m. Sign Up Now! Admissions Admissions Coordinator is Kim Wind (412-725-8562) Depending on the game, there may be multiple entrances. There are 3 entrances at CMU where tables will be set up. You will be assigned a location and provided instructions specific to each game when you arrive. Sign Up for a Varsity Game Now! Game Day Assistants This event requires 3 men to handle the chains and down markers at each of the 5 Varsity and 4 JV/Freshman home games. Sign Up Now for the following: Varsity Game | JV Game | Freshman Game 50/50 50/50 Coordinator is Yvette Schmitt (724-316-6451) The volunteer coordinator will be at the entrance to give you tickets, buckets and start up money. They will also provide specific instructions on how to handle 50/50 for each game. Sign Up for a Varsity Game Now! Pre-Game Meals Pre-Game Meals Coordinator is Janet DeRenzo (412-335-2332) Dinner Volunteers: Volunteers are asked to report to the cafeteria 4 hours prior to game time. Various responsibilities may include, but not be limited to setting up, serving catered meals and cleaning up. Sign Up for a Varsity Game Now! Dessert Volunteers: Varsity Dessert Volunteer Coordinator is Bertie Verbanac (724-272-9292) If preparing desserts is not something you have time to do, we are offering the option of sending in a Giant Eagle gift card and we will purchase the desserts for you. Your gift card must be turned in to Coach Fleming before Wednesday of the week you signed up for. During football camp, PLEASE DELIVER ALL DESSERTS BY 11AM since some desserts will be used for lunch. Freshman Post-Game Dessert - Freshmen Coordinator is Patty Fuscaldo (412-580-8168) Donate desserts for Post-Game Meal. Deliver to bus with 5 minutes left in game. Post Game Drink Varsity Post Game Drink-Varsity Coordinator is Maureen Linkosky (412-496-7342) Fill Coolers: Arrive at the locker room between 2pm and 3:30pm on game day to fill the coolers with Water, Gatorade and ice so coolers can be put on equipment truck to be served with Post-Game Snack. This volunteer can leave after this is completed. Estimated time: 20-30 minutes Junior Varsity Fill Coolers: Arrive at the locker room between 7am and 7:30am on game day to fill the coolers with Gatorade and ice so coolers can be put on equipment truck to be served with Post-Game Power Bars. This volunteer can leave after this is completed. Estimated time: 20-30 minutes Freshman Post-Game Drink - Freshmen Coordinator is Patty Fuscaldo (412-580-8168) Fill Coolers: Arrive at the locker room between 2pm and 2:30pm on game day to fill the coolers with Gatorade and ice so coolers can be put on Bus to be served with Post-Game Meal. Set up tent and prepare area for customers. Handle running concession stand during game and clean up and close up concession stand. There will be directions in concession stand cabinet.
