Pittsburgh Central Catholic won WPIAL, AAAA championships in 2003, 2004 and 2007, and was runner-up in 1988 and 2001.

Pittsburgh Central Catholic's 21-0 state title win over Parkland in 2007 was the first shutout in 20-year history of Class AAAA championship games.

Pittsburgh Central Catholic has twice finished as the No. 1 team in USA Today's Top 10 East Region polls, doing so in 2004 and 2007. The Vikings finished 16-0 each year. the '04 team was ranked sixth nationally by the newspaper while the '07 team finished 11th.

Since the start of the 2003 season, Pittsburgh Central Catholic is 102-14 (.880).

Pittsburgh Central Catholic Coach Terry Totten's seven-year record at the school is 74-12 (.840).

Since 1963, Pittsburgh Central Catholic has produced 36 all-state players and 33 players to be selected to the annual "Big 33" game.
